Vanessa Pinto

News & Features Editor

Want to keep up-to-date on local news and ongoing events around Toronto? Well, Vanessa Pinto is your girl! From Etobicoke, Ontario, Vanessa has taken on her role as News & Features editor here at OTD online. “I love having the opportunity to get to know more about the people in the community, and learn about issues and interests that are important to the area.”

Vanessa gives us the facts…

On The Danforth: What’s your favourite song?
Vanessa Pinto: “Kandi” by One Eskimo

OTD: If you could go back in time and have dinner with someone, who would it be?
VP: If you could go back in time and have dinner with someone, who would it be? Either Carl Jung, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, or William Shakespeare

OTD: What’s the last book you read?
VP: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

OTD: If you were to make a documentary, what would it be about?
VP: That’s a tough question… I suppose it would be interesting to make a documentary about a lot of different topics… like the progression of special effects and digital animation technology, or the evolution of graphic novels as a literary art form… The list could be endless!

OTD: What do you do on Sundays?
VP: If I have nothing planned, I like to sleep in, read a book, watch a movie, or go for a walk…or all of the above! Sundays are my day to relax.

What is Vanessa’s plan for the future?

“I’d like to pursue a career as an editor for a major publisher/publication…but one step at a time.”
