Have Yourself a Merry, Stylish Christmas

The holidays are here and it’s time to give yourself a treat and find the perfect outfit for that amazing Christmas dinner. Have a walk down Danforth Avenue and find the top boutiques in Toronto that will have you dressing to the nines with their exclusive and stand-out designs. Share the joy!

Boutique Lavilla, 766 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, ON

Located on the very heart of Danforth Avenue, Lavilla is like an uncut diamond: once you pass through the roughness of its façade, you find an amazing variety of chic and modern outfits. But its most valuable treasure is the Spanish clothing brand Desigual, noted for its patchwork and asymmetrical designs and colourful graffiti art. Available in Canada only, Desigual makes La Villa Boutique a store where you’ll definitely find something to make you stand out (and they have great sales, too; shhh, don’t tell anyone).

MUST HAVE: a black, medium-size purse with a red flower and patchwork design ($125).

Ziliotto, 752 Danforth Avenue

A minimalistic, white clothing-palace with big, bright windows, Ziliotto Danforth’s location reminds you of a boutique on Champs Elysees where you can find the most chic, feminine, timeless, and fashionable essentials. From dresses, tunics, and jumpers, to accessories, stockings, and home decor, Ziliotto is a brand designed and made in Canada, perfect for finding the most versatile outfits for every woman of any age.

MUST HAVE: a knee-height, white, wool-knitted cardigan, perfect for this winter ($78).

Social Butterfly, 315 Danforth Avenue

(416) 466-5872

A flirty little boutique full with stacks of clothing and accessories where you can find every single piece to make an outstanding outfit: blouses, tops, dresses, skirts, sweaters, jackets, denim, shoes, jewelry, and fragrances. Founded by a trio of best friends, Social Butterfly is the perfect example of great things that come in small packages. For in this boutique, the greater brands are on stock: TOMS, Steve Madden, Ipanema, Havaianas, BB Dakota, and many, many more.

MUST HAVE: A multicoloured, flower-patterned Nümph Freddy dress with full-length sleeves ($115).

The Parade Boutique, 261 Danforth Avenue

(416) 461-8833

Light and coloured in pastel tones, the dresses and clothing in this boutique simply makes you want to sigh and shout a big “aww.” Its flirty dresses, hats, shoes, belts, and casual pieces will help every woman of any age create a beautiful outfit that will make her look in-style and trendy. Some international brands this boutique offers are Juma and Michael Kors, but you can also find some lovely pieces by Jennifer Glasgow, Part Two and Bailey 44.

MUST HAVE: Long, knit sweater with metallic effect and crew neck ($127)

 Erietta, 320 Danforth Avenue

(416) 778-8363

Chic, magnificent, and trendy, this boutique is a piece of jewelry on its own. With its amazing textured and coloured dresses on the front window, Erietta Boutique has a one of a kind variety in clothing. The owner (who has been around forever) doesn’t follow any trend when it comes to showcase outfits but her own great taste. Some popular brands you can find in here are Dex, Sinequanone, Duplicate Tees, and Free People. We’re all up to “Share the joy,” but get an outfit from here and you definitely won’t bump into anyone with the same one at Christmas dinner.

MUST HAVE: black and blue flower-patterned skirt, with black, lace-top ($180). Perfect for the holidays!
