Five Restaurants where you should get Mac and Cheese in Toronto

Mac and cheese is a great comfort food to indulge in once in a while. With the cold winter months upon us, it’s a great dish to warm you up. There are many restaurants in Toronto that have created a delicious spin on the traditional dish. Here are five restaurants from around the city that have great mac and cheese:

Williams Landing (Liberty Village)

Lobster Mac and Cheese

This restaurant, in the heart of Liberty Village, has great food and drinks, but the mac and cheese is one of their best dishes. This is a great appetizer to share between a couple of people, but after tasting it, you may not want to share. It has delicious pieces of lobster throughout. Its size could easily be an entrée for mac and cheese lovers. The lobster mac and cheese is served as an appetizer during dinner service and an entrée with salad at lunchtime.

Hey Lucy (The Annex)

Lucy’s Mac and Cheese

Take a break from shopping on Bloor and stop in at Hey Lucy to get some delicious pasta and pizza. Located on Bloor, just east of Bathurst, this cozy restaurant serves great food. Their mac and cheese includes bacon and tomatoes with a delicious four cheese sauce that is a must try for cheese lovers. This is one indulgence that should not be missed.

E11even (Downtown)

Truffled Mac N’ Cheese

E11even is located in the heart of the entertainment district, just steps from the Air Canada Centre. This mac and cheese is a delicious side with large pieces of juicy lobster. It is large enough to split with someone as a side to your meal or to eat as an entrée on its own. It has hints of truffle oil, which makes this dish a very rich treat.

Woody’s Burgers Bar and Grill (Etobicoke)

Macaroni and Cheese

Located on Lake Shore, this burger restaurant has one of the best mac and cheese dishes I’ve ever tried. Made with lots of cheddar cheese and topped with salsa (and more cheese) this delicious mac and cheese can be eaten as an entrée or as a side to one of their amazing burgers. There is also a kid’s size mac and cheese (but I recommend getting the regular size; you will not regret it!)

On The Danforth

Louis Cifer Brew Works (Greektown)

Mac ‘N’ Cheese Poppers

If you want something different from the traditional Greek food on the Danforth, try out Louis Cifer for great food and beer that is brewed in house. A modern twist on the classic mac and cheese, these poppers are small breaded pieces of mac and cheese, which make a great appetizer for the entire table. Try them with the habanero ketchup for a kick.
