8 Holiday Festivals in Toronto this Year

It is the holiday festival season in Toronto!

From artistic displays to holiday shopping, visiting Christmas markets and holiday festivals is the best way to get into the holiday spirit. Here is a list of some of the holiday festivals in the city this year.

2021 One of a Kind Winter Show

Support crafts and its makers attending the One of a Kind festival, from November 25 to December 5 at Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place.

For 11 days the festival brings together 400 talented Canadian artisans. Discover thousands of products, from art to clothing and gourmet food.

Snow Magic (Ontario Place)

Having opened its doors in November, Snow Magic runs until January 19 and is a completely COVID safe event. Drive through the vibrant installations and get your imagination flowing with art created by Canadian artists, some of whom have been featured at Burning Man and Nuit Blanche.

The thematic experience is a 30-minute journey and invites guests to tune into a special radio station to accompany their trek.

Tickets are on sale now, with varying prices per vehicle, but as an added bonus, a portion of each ticket goes to supporting SickKids Hospital.

Casa Loma

From November 15 to December 30, Casa Loma will be hosting a holiday lights experience. Taking guests on a self-guided tour through the grand grounds of Casa Loma, the event will be both indoors and outdoors, where live performances and spectacular holiday lights will be on full display. Polar Winter Festival

In the mood for festivities? Experience Toronto’s Polar Winter Festival from November 25 to December 26 at Bandshell Park, Santa Claus and all!

Including a food market, vendors, selfies with Santa and all the festive lights you could ask for, the Polar Winter Festival is bound to be a fun stop on your Christmas outing list.

For those feeling adventurous, the Polar Winter Festival invites you to experience X-Lounge’s Cocktails Under the Stars, complete with firepits, delicious food and delectable cocktails.

Bloor-Yorkville Holiday Magic

Enjoy the holiday season by visiting the Bloor-Yorkville festive lighting display. This November and December the neighbourhood will host annual traditions, shopping, dining and cultural attractions.

Do not miss the magical scenario of the 138 light up trees along Bloor Street and the uniquely designed Urban Campfire Benches along Bloor Street West that light up with holiday colours when in use.

8th Annual Leslieville Christmas Pop-up Market

Leslieville is hosting the perfect holiday shopping market where you can find a little something for everyone!

This year the event will be held in an indoor historic space, 20 Wagstaff Drive (Gerrard St E / Greenwood).

The pop-up market will feature over 40 created vendors, plus Santa will be giving away candy! The Hot Chocolate Deluxe Bar is also returning this year, and there will be a Christmas Morning Prize Pack and Holiday Tunes.

You can’t miss the new Best Dog Holiday Costume Competition with amazing prizes for the dogs!

The entry to the market is free.

Mississauga Festival of Trees

From December 9 to 19, you can experience the very first Mississauga Festival of Trees. With different events running on different days, including an artisan market from December 10 to December 12, a family pyjama party on December 19, workshops to build your own birch deer or floral centrepiece, and more. There is something for everyone!

Distillery District Winter Village

The Winter Village in the Historic Distillery District is the perfect place to gather with friends and family to celebrate the Holiday Season. With local shops, restaurants, cozy cafes, and artisan booths, it is a great opportunity to get gifts for everyone on your list. Even if you are not wanting to spend a lot of money, it is a great place to take beautiful holiday pictures and window shop.

Tickets are $8 each, required on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays after 4:00 p.m., and between December 20 to December 23 after 4:00 p.m. Enjoy the Distillery Winter Village from November 18 to December 31.
