Editor-in-Chief

She has lived in Mumbai, New York, New Jersey, and Indiana before coming to Toronto. As one of the Editors-in-Chief of On The Danforth Online, Sabrina Medora is committed to quality. She says her favourite part of the role is “raising the bar of the website by encouraging writers and editors to produce daily content that interests not just the Danforth area but Toronto in general.”

Introducing Sabrina…

On The Danforth: Who or what has been the biggest inspiration to you in life?
Sabrina Medora: I try to take something positive away from everyone I meet. A person I admire the most, after my parents, would be J.K. Rowling.

OTD: If you could communicate with one type of animal, which would it be?
SM: Dogs. I love dogs.

OTD: What makes you laugh the most?
SM: The sitcom Frasier usually does the trick.

OTD: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
SM: Someone once quoted, “Pay no attention to what the critics say. A statue has never been erected in honor of a critic.” It’s always stuck with me.

OTD: What was the last book you read?
SM: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

What is Sabrina’s goal after graduation?

Sabrina’s goal is to work in the book publishing industry.

I loved the book “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!” If you have access to Netflix, the films story is very exciting and puzzling (for those that haven’t read the book) and the pace is steady with some really tense situations. The investigation part of the story is excellent. Although it is 2.5 hours long it is never boring.
