Outfits of the Danforth
The Danforth is a neighbourhood that exudes culture, art, fashion, and an overall cultivated lifestyle, which is something I am not used to. I just finished my undergrad in a smaller Ontario city, where there seemed to be no personal style, creativity, or expression. It was very mundane and uninteresting seeing the same thing every day. But now, coming to the Danforth for school, I have been enjoying being a part of the east-end neighbourhood and experiencing what it has to offer in terms of restaurants, coffee shops, artist spots, and most importantly, clothing stores. The neighbourhood is full of so much culture, acceptance, and expression, and the local clothing…

Influencing Toronto: An Interview with Fashion Blogger Kristina Pittam
Toronto’s fashion scene is on the rise. We embody a sense of style that is so very Canadian: weather dependent and cultural. In the 1960s, Black activists started a natural hair movement that Marcus Garvey summed up in one statement "Don't remove the kinks from your hair—remove them from your brain." Here’s our take on last night’s iconic awards ceremony! Musical Performances Janelle Monae This being the second year without a host, we were on the edge of our seats to see how the show would begin and Janelle Monae did not disappoint! Canada Reads 2020 short list titles as 62nd Grammy Awards fashion
The best season of the year has arrived: awards season. With the announcement of the Canada Reads 2020 short list on January 22, I thought it would be fun to match each book cover with its celebrity counterpart following the red carpet at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards. The only criteria I had was that the outfit had to compliment the book cover and, without fail, these celebrities delivered. Book: Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club by Megan Gail Coles (photo cred: House of Anansi) Celebrity: Tyler the Creator wearing Golf le Fleur. Why I Switched from Bras to Bralettes
A while ago I started to hear women talking about bralettes. And not just talking, but raving. For those who don’t know, bralettes are bras that don’t have an underwire or folded cups. They’re more like a sports bra, but are designed to be more attractive and less supportive than their athletic counterparts. And why do women care? Primarily for reasons of comfort and style. I was originally drawn in by the designs, the lace and delicate straps, but now that I’ve converted fully to the bralette lifestyle, I’ve realized it’s about so much more.

Wanting to see for myself, I bought my first bralette, a purple and lace one…
